Cheltenham Bournside School approached us originally for a quote some time ago, and they were very involved in creating the layout and external design of the building. They chose a refurbished seven-bay, 21m x 9.15m double modular classroom to provide three classrooms and a lobby area. The school organised its own planning application process, although we handled the building control. All of our staff are DBS certified, which was a requirement for the school and working on the school’s site.

We subcontracted to organise the groundworks and the contractor created the foundations with concrete slab pads on grass. We laid trackway and crane pads to protect the surrounding grass areas from the lorries and crane and provided the RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements). The organisation of fire and security alarms was undertaken by the school.
