St. Augustine’s Catholic Primary School wanted a self-contained SEND classroom for their pupils who need that extra support. The building is a refurbished 12.0m x 12.0m 3 bay modular classroom. This unit has a 79sqm learning space, breakout room, sensory room, kitchenette, storage cupboard, 3 children’s toilets, DDA toilet and lobby. They used our full turnkey service to handle all aspects of the project.
The building was installed on a surface mounted foundation system which means the tarmac didn’t need to be disturbed for other types of foundation pads. Using this kind of foundation system also required a CBR plate test to ensure the ground surface is able to withstand the weight of the building.
