What are Double Modular Classrooms?
Our double modular classrooms are exactly that, two mirror-image, high-quality, bright, comfortable and inspirational classrooms.
Able to be modified to your bespoke needs for additional classroom spaces, our double modular classrooms provide two classrooms within one larger modular building. With a range of optional outer cladding finishes, they can be modified to include a lobby area, portable toilet blocks, kitchenettes, storage cupboards and more depending on your needs. Outside they can have ramps and railings installed for disabled access and canopies to protect waiting students from the weather. You can also modify the interior for your teaching requirements with bespoke flooring, heating, lighting and electrical installations, as well as inclusive design features to create an accessible classroom for SEND students.

Additional Double Modular Classroom Facilities
Lobby Area
A space where students can wait before lessons when the weather is inclement and can lead to classrooms or toilets to allow the movement of staff and students around the building.
Toilets
If your double modular classroom is further from the main building or is likely to remain in place for a long time, then installing toilets increases the comfort of all those using the building.
DDA Toilets
Specially designed to help staff or students with disabilities, we enable you to meet the compliance requirements for those with SEN or disabilities who will use the building.
Kitchenette
Installing a kitchenette will enable staff to grab a coffee between classes and the sink allows for cleaning of art equipment if the double modular classroom is used for an art classroom.
Ramps and Stairs
If your double modular classroom is raised slightly above ground level, then we can make sure that all students and staff have access by installing stairs and ramps.
Canopies
A canopy on the side of your double modular classroom will allow students and staff to shelter from the weather while waiting for the start of lessons.
Our Process
Step 01 – Design Phase
We find out your exact needs in order to create the design plan and quotation and when you’re happy with these we visit your site to check for any access restrictions.
Step 02 – Planning and Compliance
You will need to apply for the planning application or utilise our service to start the process which can take 8 – 12 weeks. After planning permission is given you will need to make a building regulation application.
Step 03 – Groundworks and Manufacturing
The groundworks begin to prepare the foundations, mains services, ducting and drainage while the manufacture of the double classroom is constructed offsite. Running both processes simultaneously make the lead times much shorter.
Step 04 – Installation
Your double classroom is delivered and assembled in place with the relevant equipment and engineers along with the installation of all internal and external fittings ready to be handed over to you.
Step 05 – Snagging and Handover
Final snagging tasks and checks are completed to your satisfaction and the handover of the keys and all building certifications finishes the work.
